About
Stainless Steel
For
over 70 years stainless steel has been used in the preparation, procession and
transport of food products to ensure a high standard of quality and safety. It
does not affect the taste of food and drink. Stainless steel has a high
resistance to cleaning agents, disinfectants and sterilizing such as pressurized
steam.
Stainless
steel is normally chosen where there are particularly aggressive (corrosive)
environments.
Stainless
steel has a high bacteria removability.
Comparing
with brass which release in the drinking water, a lot of heavy metals like
lead, copper, cadmium, zinc, hexavalent chromium (CR VI) etc, stainless steel
is only an iron based alloy containing at least 10.5% chromium and a maximum of
1.2% carbon.
The
chromium contained inside stainless steel is trivalent chromium (CR III) which
occurs naturally in the environment. It is an essential nutrient required by
the human body.
To
